She attended Minerva Schools at KGI.
Yige is the author of Zhubu and Gewai.
In 2013, Yige published her first collection of essays Gewai. Before publication, Yige had wrote a book of personal journals at 10, and published series of articles at major medias like Guangming Daily and READERS.
Published in 2017, Yige’s book Zhubu got discovered by the literary world. Zhubu records her path of meditation and imagination in the past five years. World-class book design and craft compliment the art of writing. “The style of writing is the style of the universe”, “Style reserves, no rush to form or to emerge.” At the end of Zhubu, Yige mentioned her thoughts of writing — The underlying of a word, are ideas, aesthetics and vitality.
At 20, Yige has traveled more than thirty provinces and cities of China, and studied and worked across five continents. Among all, she long lived in San Francisco, Berlin, and Buenos Aires. Her experiences include documentary filming in East Africa, working as an executive of a unicorn tech startup based in China and the U.S., and as a mentor in residence at the Makers’ Space in Tsinghua University. She hosted world-class scholars and entrepreneurs’ lectures in China, such as Masayuki Kurokawa and Yoval Harari. Yige enjoys skiing, riding, watching football games and wandering around museums.
After graduating from Beijing No.4 High School, Yige became a founding student of Minerva Schools. According to her unique education background and advocation for education innovation, Yige is known as the “phenomenon in the new era of education”.
